Blue Ox App Challenge Rules
THEME: This App Challenge is intended to encourage young adults to develop apps for mobile devices that can help them with schoolwork or activities.
ELIGIBILITY: Eligible participants are students who go to school in Maine (or are homeschooled in Maine), are at least 13 years old, and have not completed high school or high school equivalency as of the contest submission deadline. Employees of Sponsor, judges of the competition, and their family members are not eligible to participate in the contest. All Apps must be accompanied by signed Contest Agreements (view sample agreement here) for each participant in order to be eligible. There is no entry fee for participating in the App Challenge.
CRITERIA: Apps must be the participant’s own original work, or the original work of the team if a team participant. The participant must represent and warrant that the work does not infringe on any third party’s intellectual property rights, and that any aspect of the work that makes use of a third party’s intellectual property rights is used under license or by permission.
Apps will be judged on the basis of originality and clarity of concept, app design, code quality, and concept fulfillment. All decisions of the judges will be final.
DEADLINE: Working Apps must be provided to Blue Ox Technologies, Ltd. using Dropbox. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. EDT on March 22, 2017, or they will be not be considered.
