At Blue Ox Technologies we have years of experience in developing enterprise-level solutions. We’ve built software for organizations such as:

  • Fraser Papers
  • Xerox Corporation
  • ATX Inc.
  • Unum
  • and others too!

Software categories we've worked on have included financial, order processing, CRM, engineering, laboratory, and many others. Whatever your needs are, we can build a solution for you. Here are some examples...

Client: Software Company

Category: Operations

Technology: Microsoft Visual Basic / SQL Server

A rapidly growing software company evaluated pre-packaged solutions for order processing, but they quickly realized that their needs were much too complicated for anything available on the market. They knew they needed to create a custom system, but with only a four-month window for construction and an inexperienced programming staff the task seemed daunting.

Blue Ox Technologies was hired to lead the project working along with their programmers to design and build a sophisticated CRM (Customer Relations Management) system. The Visual Basic / SQL Server project was completed on schedule and the program handles as many as 50 users at a time and processes as many as 20,000 orders in a single day.

Client: Paper Mill

Category: Industrial

Technology: Microsoft Access / SQL Server

The tool crib at a paper mill required a way to ensure that all necessary equipment received safety inspections at regular intervals. The paper-based system in place before automating was unreliable and inadequate.

Blue Ox Technologies used Microsoft Access and SQL Server to build a solution that allows the tool crib manager to track each piece of equipment, including who has it signed out and the required inspection interval. The reporting system ensures that no piece of equipment is overlooked for a safety inspection when due.

Client: Hospital

Category: Accounting

Technology: Microsoft Excel

The accounting department at a hospital needed to distribute reports to their department managers. Their problem was that all the department reports were combined in a single output file from a UNIX-based system.

Blue Ox Technologies built a program using Microsoft Excel to break the combined report into the individual department reports and deliver them to folders on the hospital’s network where they could be retrieved by the managers. The mailing list is customizable and is maintained in an Excel spreadsheet for easy access.
